We watched some of the Olympic curling yesterday...what a bizarre sport. I wonder if there are any curling rinks (?) around here-- looks like a sport that moves at my pace.

Oh, except I can't ice skate. I'd better stick with shuffleboard.

Someone wrote to ask me if the tuition for the summer institute will incude the "mandatory fees" listed on the bursar's website...now, let's think...I wonder why they might call them "mandatory"?

Still, with the way beauracracies (that word is so hard to spell!) sometimes work, I suppose it is within the range of the imagination for there to exist optional mandatory fees.
