I did it! I finally told them today...well, some of them. My advisor and the chair. Not the awesome prof who was gonna chair my dissertation, and not my Swahili teacher (though I had sort of told her before, then she talked me out of it). But still. The most official ones. It was fine. As with so many other things, I shouldn't have been so anxious.

Yay.
