I would like to find the right sentence such that the person hear me would say, "I don't like that accusative tone you're taking" and I could say, "I'm not being accusative, I'm being unaccusative, in fact" and both claims would be true.

I'm sure there are linguists out there who have done it.

In fact, I'm betting that within 5 minutes of reading this, J will email me with the perfect line. Not that he's a linguist, but he knows the terminology, so close enough. Wemay have even attempted this routine before, but I don't remember whether we had much luck with it.
