Leaving Monday for our road trip to NJ. Nngh.

Met yesterday with a woman I met at an art show who makes paper from plants-- she kindly let me have some of her paper to play with, and shared tips about how she does it, what plants she's used, her papermaking setup. I have two pairs of earrings going now using her yucca paper and banana peel paper. They look good, and I believe I may have renewed my enthusiasm for papermaking.

I have that Lucinda Williams song about going to West Memphis and Slidell to look for her joy going through my head. I always wondered why she was looking in those places. Now I've figured it out: Obviously that's where she lost it. Now, THAT makes sense.
