Well, we discussed getting an efficiency apartment for her here. I brought it up to her and she wasn't as opposed as I thought she might be. She said she didn't think she could afford it on her Social Security, and then acted like she didn't hear me when I said we could help with part of the rent. Said something about selling the place she's in now and living off of the proceeds. Which, with the shape that place is in, is as good as saying never. But at least we can work on her a bit. We're going to find out how much a little apartment here actually costs, see how doable it might be.

It's a start.
