Man, I wish I could breathe through my nose again. At least at night.

Finished reading the article about materialism. According to them, materialistic people form stronger brand connections to assuage existential anxiety. No, it was actually pretty plausible the way they laid it out. Materialistic people have difficulty forming interpersonal attachments, and use brand communities as a substitute for actual human relationships. Anyway, I can't help but draw a line between fear-mongering in the media and the interests of advertisers. Fear is good business for all, it would seem! At least when you've for as many materialists running around as we do these days.
