Just a thought on that man killed randomly in OK. A lot of "what is this world coming to?" Comments around that. And yeah. But the world has not just now come to this. On Ta Nehisi Coates' blog, a reader (i think) reminisces about his father, and mentions his father's upbringing--very poor white in MO. Mentions his grandfather telling about how the boys used to go out in a pickup with a 2x4 and drive into the black part of town and whack anyone they could get close enough to with the 2x4.

It's not "what has this world come to"? Just the same old, "what the fuck is wrong with you people?!"
