Thursday, Aug. 21, 2014 - 2:07 p.m. I have this mesh bag my parents got somewhere in the Caribbean (I assume). Was thinking last night that I would like another, so I got the idea of looking up net making online. Then I found filet lace. Then I dreamed half the night about learning lace making. I don't even really like lace, but I never liked jewelry, either, so *shrug*. Filet lace is done on fine netting, most designs are kind of blocky like cross stitch, only monochromatic. At least it looks like lace. I also looked at needle lace, but when an amateur does it, it looks like crochet. Not quite what I'd like. And bobbin lace is awesome but looks really hard. ![]() Leave a note |
