Irrigation! Tubes all over our yard, but it will keep the plants alive while we are gone, inshallah. It will probably rain like it's supposed to and all the plants will be overwatered.

E had his first taste of nectarine today! He is way younger than the other two...Ideally we should wait until 6 months, but both the other 2 started showing an implacable interest in food at 5 1/2 months. E has started to show interest now, not quite 5 months. So I am letting him taste things, not to swallow but just gum a bit. It is so cute, the first experiences with food...they just direct all their focus on the food and then invariably need an immediate nap to recover from the experience.

This also puts e on track to be the youngest of the clan to taste ice cream. Because once the baby starts crying when you don't give him a taste, there's no other choice.
