Woke this morning to hear about the Orlando night club shooting. Having a hard time with it, even in this time of mass shootings. Orlando is an hour from where I grew up, and many of my friends live there. My bestie went to clubs there a lot though not so much in recent years. Anyway, I am so sad. Sounds like the police did their best in the situation.

Worked on paper yesterday. Boiled the fiber, spent way too long rinsing it. Started beating it. Wondered what it was exactly that I like about it. Hard work and who knows if it'll look like anything but roadside detritus when I'm done. Ah well. Such is my task.
