The Notre Dame fire. I don’t really feel anything about it. I recognize it as a tragedy, and would rather it hadn’t happened, but I don’t actually feel emotions about it.

A couple of the stupider Satanists were celebrating it. They were people notmin my close circle who I had antecedently concluded were not good thinkers, and this confirmed that hypothesis.

I keep trying to figure out how to frame observations like that without reference to ableist terms like “stupid”, and I keep failing. I guess I’ll say I have noticed they are not creative critical thinkers, and their hot takes often lack depth.
