Thursday, Jun. 25, 2020 - 9:34 a.m. Reading a bit about the history of photography. The Pictorialists were the ones who really went for gum bichromate. I kind of like their whole thing (blurred, soft images, atmosphere) but it’s one of these movements that belongs to a particular point in time. Can I be a Pictorialist now? I mean people still call themselves surrealists. Are they, though? I would like to know what the current photographic movements are, but when I try to read about it I cringe away. I don’t want to read about photography. previous next Leave a note |
