Went and got more paper. Trying Stonehenge this time— smoother, midway in weight between the arches text and the watercolor pad. And with Arches there’s a watermark and inevitably whenever I got a really good print there would be the watermark right across the bottom.

Copied a custom curve for gum bichromate which is...counter intuitive for me but I hope it will work. I will trust that whoever came up with it knows more than me, and try tweaking other things if I still get weird results.
