It was mom’s 92nd birthday yesterday. I made a really good cake. E picked out flowers for her and the florist turned them into a bouquet and he was delighted with the entire experience. Q drew some flowers in a vase and it was really a very nice drawing. It all went okay.

Today received the 3rd message in 6 months from that one friend to begin, “So [boyfriend] was driving my car and it ran out of gas and was impounded…”. Or “he fell asleep in a parking lot and was arrested” or “then we were arrested for our suspended licenses”. They’re fun people.
