I spent all day more or less carving lino blocks. Did two, one of the bird and the other than said solidarity. I made a nice test print. Then about ten seconds after I posed them on FB I decided that the “solidarity” looks too zany and festive, and now I can’t unsee it.

Never mind that the hand is absolutely of a piece with the one in the manuscript, which is a commentary on the book of Revelation. Not zany and festive.

I’ll still do stuff with it I guess but not post on FB. Maybe it’s because of my mixed feelings about political work. I always want to and then it never feels powerful enough, only ham-handed and pointless.

Anyway, I have more birds to do.
