Sunday, Sept. 29, 2024 - 7:30 a.m. The hurricane damage. I think of the people stranded who can’t get their meds. Farmers with their harvest now a field of mud and debris. All the artists in the Asheville area. My old friend April, who was gathering her zinnias from her flower farm to save them from 50mph winds 2 days ago, in a town just north of Asheville. All the people whose livelihood is destroyed, whose rent or mortgage or electricity bill will be auto debited in a day or two regardless. Well. Meanwhile it was 108 in Tucson, 117 in Phoenix yesterday. ANYWHO the train ride yesterday was loud and exhausting, but fun. previous next Leave a note |
