My beraweka is almost ready to bake. It's a French fruitcake I just discovered-- dried fruit and nuts soaked in kirsch, with the slightest amount of brioche dough holding it together.

I also volunteered to make a buche de Noel for tomorrow. I probably should not have. I don't want to do it hastily. And it's not the only cooking project I have going. Ah, well. Lemon would be nice after a holiday meal. Perhaps a lemon gingersnap theme. Lemon sponge with a ginger & spice buttercream, white chocolate ganache. ?

A bit underslept now.
