Getting some packing done. It's a go for the 15th closing, and then we have a couple weeks to move. No sweat, right?

Thinking a lot about painting the new place. The truth is, I have to get it as close to perfect as possible before we move in, otherwise it'll never happen.

Broke out the stovetop smoker and smoked some frozen broccoli directly from the package. Then made soup out of it. It was really good. I have some cauliflower-- I may smoke that and the finish by roasting.

Also cooked up some black chickpeas. Don't care for them at all. Not quite sure what to do with them. The skins are thick and not entirely pleasant to eat.
