Wordwhore, your idea-- I can, actually. I can use acrylic on resin. I fiddled about at one point with making a resin blob, then writing on it, coating in resin again. It was kind of cool (and could be cooler if I kept developing the idea), but at some point resin just starts to present itself primarily as a big chunk of plastic. Not so appealing. People just wish it were glass at that point.

Anyway, I may have had a breakthrough. Details forthcoming when I see how my first try goes.
