Q announced today… (“I have something to tell you… “ because introducing topics to conversation is a newish skill) that she wants to be vegetarian for the month of April.

I asked her why, and she said is was because of something I had said some time ago about the role of meat production and consumption in contributing to climate change. I had been explaining about feed lots and carbon emissions and the energy used to feed and transport animals being raised for meat.

So I have had more than a few times that I felt like a screw up as a parent, but I’m pretty proud that she feels moved to try this and it was because of something I said. I’ll call this one for the plus column.
