Yes, I am borrowing the 8yo’s Spirograph for the nonce and if I keep at it and the urge remains, maintains, sustains, I’ll buy the basic version of the adult one (which is only about $10 more than a fancy version of the kid one, and it’ll be compatible with expansions).

I discovered that even if a pen or pencil fits in the little holes, it doesn’t necessarily work. My fine point black art pen makes the whole thing come out of the track for some reason. The Spirograph pens do fine. I am super annoyed about it. The Wild Gears ones have different holes for different sized pens so there’s another reason.
