J's grandmother died the other day. He's off at the funeral today (whirlwind trip to NJ and back again), I get to stay here with Q. I definitely got the better end of the deal.

The trip to the airport was interrupted by serveral changings of his flight status, which in the end resulted in a long enough delay that we were able to come in and have dinner with him at Cafe Patachoux-- pretty good stuff for an airport. They even gave us free scrambled eggs for Q; she ate most of them, plus all of J's blueberries from his fruit cup, some of my fried egg, and some hamburger. Altogether it was very pleasant.

Finally did something with those mung dahl I had gotten. Boiled 'em up, tossed them with some spiced butter and seared cauliflower for lunch today. Pretty tasty! Need to go have another bowl before Herself wakes up.
