Q's birthday went fine-- some initial distress as she decided that everyone wishing her happy birthday was too much-- went to her room, wailed a bit, took her dress off. I told her we'd tell people not to mention it any more and that solved the problem, luckily. After that start and then a busy day with the first day of co-op classes and dinner out I thought she was bound for meltdown one way or another, but it all went well, to my surprise.

The first day of printmaking class went well. Hands-on classes maybe the best for me. Only 4 girls in there but they all seemed to enjoy it, and I'm actually looking forward to next week.
