I had gotten some acrylic modeling paste medium with the intention of trying to paint some of those thingies like Josie Lewis paints, thick dollops of color dabbed on with a palette knife.

I also painted a tiny canvas.

I don’t know how people paint. It’s just too wide open. How do you know if it’s good? It’s just smearing paint! Jesus. I can’t.

I did a tiny pendant with the palette knife technique. I hate it. It didn’t even turn out that bad. I intended to finish it with resin once it’s dry, and I supposed it will. The biggest problem is of course that it feels like copying, as opposed to taking first steps to making it my own. But painting, seriously. How even?
