Yesterday was beautiful. The temperatures were in the 80s, sunny and blue. I made bread and hamburger buns, we had pumpkin soup for lunch. Then we went to the pumpkin place I like out in Gnawbone (yes, I said 'Gnawbone') and I bought pumpkins.

The fall pumpkin-buying makes me so happy.

Then for dinner, butternut squash, hazelnut, and goatcheese gratin, pork chops in mustard sauce, apples stewed in cinnamon, thyme, brown sugar, and brandy. It was a good food day.

Also mowed part of the lawn and watched a bad movie about a swamp monster. I'm loving the SciFi channel's 31 days of Halloween programming.
